If you don't mind me one more analysis:

"If it's non-profit there is nothing the employment services or law or anything that they can do about it and there are several online jobs that would follow suit."

First of all, I would like to point out that these job openings call for work that could be used for profitable means. If you intend to make a video game, you cannot regester as "non profit" because you are selling an item. If the proceeds went to charities, then that might be a different story. I'm not an attorney, so I could be incorrect, but this would seem like the most obvious reasoning as to what would break our efforts from "non profit".

"It was my idea, more or less just trying to find help to develop the site and game etc. So no, you can't get in trouble for doing this sort of thing."

Then we need to go volunteer for the time being, unless your game is free. The site is fine, but we need to become our own regestered trademark.

"Also, none of this was shoved in anybodies faces. It was just a feature added to the site for now to continue its growth etc, so therefore it is rightfully fair to do so."

I still think we should take votes as to how to improve the site. All of what you have done soo far I honestly see no problem with, save for the "employment" thing, of course. I pushed that comment to see how you would react as a leader if somone actually said that to you. Perhaps my ruse was too convincing? I'll ease up next time.

"And on top of that, of course not, there would be rules for working under age which would apply. But again that would fall back to the non-profit thing."

Not totally. They must still participate as a volunteer if they intend to work for you. Also, they cannot replace paid employees, according to the Wisconsin Child Labor Laws in terms of volunteer community service. This may or may not apply over internet jobs, but I would imagine it to be relatively the same.

"If its that big of a deal we can vote on it and I can change the Careers to Volunteer Work or something if that would sound better..."

I think so, it would be much better in legal terms as well until you are ready to begin selling your ideas. I would hate for your investors to know that you used the volunteer work of monors to fulfill your wishes, if a monor(s) chooses to volunteer of course.

"(no offense but it's not a lie, just fact, not meaning to be objective or an asshole but i'm sure you get my point now...)."

None taken, man. I only wanted temporary access anyways. Just I cannot believe that I' am the only one that sees somthing wrong with this picture. Like, "lets make a video game! It will be non-profit! I wan't to make money off of it!" I mean thats what for-profit is, yeah? You wan't to sell it, right? Thats for profit, and minors may not be able to participate. All I' am trying to do is make you use your mind. I understand that may be hard for you at the moment, but you CANNOT advertise non-profit employment when you obviously want to make money. Also, on a personnal note, if you are offinded, then tell me. When I said I was an advisor, I actually ment that. So expect to receive counsil that you may not like.

No problem. It is good to see someone whom actually exercises good common sense along with proper law, etc,. Like I said, it does vary from state to state accordingly, however, you are only right on a few things. There are several non-profit organizations out there whom are listed as similar. Nothing is really needed to change since it is notated as non-profit but should it become payable or even charge others as you've stated and I already am aware of beforehand then yes it would need to change - Free Non-Profite Law Resource Guide. I will change it anyways so that it doesn't mislead anyone even though it is stated when you click on the link so that it remains fair. I however don't think that a guild vote is needed to do so since myself and ara are taking care of the site the most. When we get more people helping out and the site gets very highly active as our guild spreads then yea I would not detest that statement of yours as I do now. The game that I am designing is going to be F2P anyways with the similar item shop like RoM which I found impressive and want to do something very similar. We can certainly talk about this with the rest of the guild but I see no point right now since the guild is simply not large enough or active enough to talk to enough people to do so but you are more then welcome to pass on the news and gain census point of view about it which I am certainly willing to hear out. My reactions to your ruse is purely defensive and it is still abiding by Ucoz's Rules as a host so I still say to you that no we're not breaking any rules unless we're seriously offering under the table pay, illegal copyrighted stuff, and hiring underage etc which is highly illegal and known. When we get more people to help out on our site and expand our guild and its projekts then yea we'll more then likely start following the legal stuff more closely of course but it is still more of a personal site so therefore there is still nothing anyone can do about it since we are still not doing anything wrong as far as i'm concerned at this point in time.

If it's non-profit there is nothing the employment services or law or anything that they can do about it and there are several online jobs that would follow suit. The worst they could do is request a 1099 depending on the country you're being employed from and its requirements as a whole at the most but that would only require that I submit a form which can easily be created just to show proof of pay and hours to them which is why I posted it as non-profit. You can still hire and do non-profit. It was my idea, more or less just trying to find help to develop the site and game etc. So no, you can't get in trouble for doing this sort of thing.

Also, none of this was shoved in anybodies faces. It was just a feature added to the site for now to continue its growth etc, so therefore it is rightfully fair to do so. And on top of that, of course not, there would be rules for working under age which would apply. But again that would fall back to the non-profit thing. There are no requirements in age for non-profit work. Its not a scam either so we can't get in trouble for that either. Many sites hire admin and more on there sites even if the work is voluntary. If its that big of a deal we can vote on it and I can change the Careers to Volunteer Work or something if that would sound better but I see no point in doing so right now especially not when myself and Aramoz have been taking care of the website the most (no offense but it's not a lie, just fact, not meaning to be objective or an asshole but i'm sure you get my point now...).

I give you guys props for determination, but this seems like somthing that could have used some more careful planning. First of all, "employment"? Under who wallet? To what company? What about the differences in employment laws between America, and the other countries that the guild is in affiliation with? Second of all, where were we when we decided this? I understand I'm kinda lazy, but there was not even a letter to the mail box, or a personnal message that said anything about this. Who decided this? What is the motivation behind it? And what about the say of the other guild members? Are we a democracy, or just a silly dictatorship?

Maybe I just came off a little to emposing, or even threatening there, and know that is not my intention, but it just seems like we never hear about anything about what is happening up there, not even fellow mentra. It would be kinda nice if each active guild member was given the chance to speak their thoughts about these issues, but maybe we are too good for that, arn't we?

If I have yet to come off clear enough, I'll say this: we need to value the people who choose to play. We can't just assume that everyone is going to like what YOU admins do. If we don't get a say as to what should happen, even a poll of sorts, then expect to be one guild member less. Thats not a threat, just a move of careful execution.

I do not say any of this in assult to anyone in particular. I only mean for the best. I was told that we would be ruled under fairness, but I have yet to be convinced. From how the site is ran, I see that only two indeviduals are calling the shots, and there is nothing to be liked about that. What did Magerebellion have to say about this "employment" thing? What about Bloodknight? He knows that he's too young to be employed yet, so why do we shove it in their faces with out their input before execution? Thats not fair, thats dictating what we are seeing.

If anyone here honestly wants to know what I think would be better, send me a PM asking me why. And while you are at it, please send a PM to everyone else about what they think would be better.

One last thing: I have experiance with blender 3D, and I can learn how to use various engines. If you need a co developer, and don't mind me going on sabatical to learn the basics of the tools we are using, then look me up. My services will be under a volunteer effort until you are able to answer the first questions I have asked on the first paragraph. I would make a better developer then a site moderator by a long shot. Kinda funny how I was never informed about my change from Admin to Moderator, isn't it?
